Intro

Hello everyone, I’m Secy Cheung, Founding Board Director of the FutureGen Girls Foundation.

As times progress, career choices have become more diverse. Compared to the past, the options we face today are much more complex and dynamic. What exactly is an ideal job? Is there a big gap between having an ideal job and pursuing a dream? What skills and mindset do we need to find an ideal job and achieve our dreams? And what can employers do to attract and retain talent?

In this episode, we’re delighted to have Lawrence, President of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management, and Jaz, Head of Relationship Management at LinkedIn, to share their insights and experiences with us.

Outro

With global digital transformation reshuffling the labour market, I hope Lawrence and Jaz’s sharing has provided new inspiration and direction for those planning their futures.

The world today is ever-changing, with new roles, industries, and work models emerging at an unprecedented pace. When it comes to pursuing dreams or finding an ideal job, as our guests mentioned in this episode, we need to equip ourselves with new workplace skills, such as digital competencies. At the same time, we shouldn’t overlook the importance of soft skills, like teamwork and communication.

Some say the future is filled with uncertainties, but I believe that it is precisely because of these unknowns that we have more room to shine. To thrive in this era, we must remain flexible and adaptable to face challenges. Only then can we make an impact and work together for a better future.

Stay tuned for more interviews in the Dream Teller series. We’ll continue inviting guests from various industries and professions to share their stories. I wonder who our next Dream Teller will be?
